It presents a survey and analysis of the different emotion theories relevant for such abstract architecture and explores some mechanisms by which emotions and affect play a role in the behaviour of autonomous agents. By investigating the current state-of-the-art of emotion theories , we draw into a particular architecture that contains different components such as an appraisal component and an emotional planner. The document focuses on the appraisal mechanism of such architecture providing its detailed specification.
